A NOTE FROM CHELSEA
Friends, I deeply believe that every person has value and was made for a specific purpose. When we are free to live out our purpose, we feel fulfilled, we flourish, and we make the world better.
I painted these while deeply considering these ideas in my own life. I invite you to consider these same ideas and enjoy the knowledge that your purpose comes with freedom and power.
Free to flourish.
While I was painting this collection, I thought a lot about what it means to fully accept ourselves such that we can have the peace we need to really flourish. I believe when we live with that mindset, we can grow to accomplish more that we ever imagined possible.
I began with asking for a vision of the life I was made for. We were made to live free from fear, shame, and emotional burdens; which distract and smother us. I asked what life would look like if we could really live that free: free to grow, to flourish, to make the world better.
Here, you are free to explore and listen.
A Poem of Morning
Early light skims the wet grass.
A few eager blades of grass stretch and shake, and still.
Shadows deepen as the sun grows bold.
Grays and hues turn golden green.
Petals blink and yawn.
Here, in this moment, is peace and birdsong possibility.
Free from guilt, fear, and shame.
We all carry weights and burdens through life that we were never meant to carry.
For me, freedom starts with recognizing these burdens so I can let them go. I want my focus and attention to be on the things I was made for, that bring me joy and fulfillment, that can leave a lasting impact.
What would it feel like to be completely free from all those burdens, including those we don’t even realize we’re carrying?
Free to grow without boundaries.
Free to flourish and bloom beyond our wildest imaginings.
Return to Eden, a poem
What joy there is in knowing you.
What peace and life and love.
What kind of dream I’ve entered in
where everything comes true.
I take a walk with you, dear friend,
and listen as you say,
“all this is your inheritance,
this life which has no end.”
In Eden wildflowers grow
in graceful gentle patterns.
Planted by the hand of God,
from whom all good things flow.
“You’re part of this,” He tells me now,
“more beautiful than flowers.”
The crown of glory - roses bloom
forever on my brow.
“So walk a while and don’t forget
the charge I’ve given you.
My treasure here within your hands
till I return… not yet.
“One day soon we’ll be together,
walking in this place.
We’ll have the life I made for you,
side-by-side forever.”
