Inspiration
I love this balance of living in the moment while conscious of both past and future. The present is a beautiful place to be. It’s so easy to become so focused on what’s still to come that we forget to celebrate and embrace the now. We forget all the possibility it contains. I’ve often heard people use phrases like “moments of panic” when they feel that they’re not doing a good enough job, or when things feel out of control. There is this western idea that any moment we’re not happy is underperformance or deficiency somehow. I don’t believe that’s a burden we’re meant to carry.
This painting feels like a moment poised with promise. It feels like the way we should live – aware of the possibilities and threats, while immensely grateful for the journey and beauty of the moment. It is a moment free from the stress of expectations and full of the simple and powerful joys available every day, even in the face of hardship.

Shipping and Logistical Information
Please allow up to three weeks for newly purchased paintings to be varnished, set, and shipped safely. Not all works will require this turnaround time, but I appreciate your patience as I work to ensure that your artwork purchase will be beautiful for generations!
This painting will come stretched and ready to hang with hanging hardware attached. It will be packaged with care to avoid shifting and will be wrapped carefully to protect the surface. For international shipping, this painting may be removed from the stretcher bars and rolled in a tube.
Paintings larger than 18 x 24 inches are often removed from their stretcher bars and carefully wrapped and rolled to be shipped in a tube. This is generally a safer way to ship large works on canvas and is far more economical to ship. It will, however, require the buyer to take the rolled artwork to a professional framer to unroll and stretch the artwork onto new stretcher bars. This is a common practice, but it is worth asking your local frame shop if they can assist you in this.
